Candlelit Concert II

A candlelit concert in the Chapel of St. Wenceslas will present the traditional Ukrainian instrument bandura, performed by Maiia Zheliezna (UA).

The bandura is a string instrument combining elements of the lute and harp. Modern versions feature more than 60 strings, allowing players to perform from delicate lyrical melodies to nearly orchestral soundscapes. In Ukrainian culture, it is a symbol of national identity and has been associated for centuries with storytellers of epic tales, known as kobzars.
