The Dům umění (House of Art) is a stately Art Nouveau building from 1926 that serves as the main exhibition space of the Galerie výtvarného umění v Ostravě. The gallery ranks among the largest fine-art collection institutions in the Czech Republic, with holdings spanning Czech and international art from the 19th to the 21st century. It regularly hosts temporary exhibitions alongside educational and public programmes.
