The Dům umění (House of Art) is a stately Art Nouveau building from 1926 that serves as the main exhibition space of the Galerie výtvarného umění v Ostravě. The gallery ranks among the largest fine-art collecting institutions in the Czech Republic, with a focus on Czech and international art from the 19th to the 21st century. It regularly hosts temporary exhibitions alongside educational and public programmes.
