Pavol Truben - Utopian Myth
Pavol Truben's exhibition explores myths and the future through fictional reconstructions and simulated media archaeology, where animals become carriers of symbolic meaning.
Galerie Kaple occupies a Renaissance building from 1611 in the rear courtyard of Žerotín Castle. Over the centuries it served as a riding hall, a Napoleonic military hospital, and a prison chapel for the only women's prison in Moravia. Following an award-winning reconstruction (Stavba roku Zlínského kraje), it reopened in 2009 as a gallery dedicated to contemporary Czech art. Six solo exhibitions are staged each year, spanning painting, sculpture, video art, installation, and performance.
