Kaple Gallery, Valašské Meziříčí

exhibition culture outdoor

An exhibition by Polish multidisciplinary artist Paul Voca explores themes of the sea, material transformation, light, and human perception.

The exhibition is divided into three sections: video, light installation, and photography in light boxes with projections that blur the boundaries between image, object, and light.

About the venue: Kaple Gallery

Galerie Kaple occupies a Renaissance building from 1611 in the rear courtyard of Žerotín Castle. Over the centuries it served as a riding hall, a Napoleonic military hospital, and a prison chapel for the only women's prison in Moravia. Following an award-winning reconstruction (Stavba roku Zlínského kraje), it reopened in 2009 as a gallery dedicated to contemporary Czech art. Six solo exhibitions are staged each year, spanning painting, sculpture, video art, installation, and performance.
