About the venue

Galerie Půda is housed in the Žerotín castle complex in Valašské Meziříčí, inside a former granary whose core likely dates to the 17th century and was later remodelled in the baroque-classicist style. The gallery focuses on contemporary visual art, giving space to emerging artists and students from art schools. Several exhibitions by Czech and international artists rotate through the venue each year. It is run by the Kulturní zařízení Valašského Meziříčí alongside the nearby Galerie Kaple and Galerie Sýpka.
