The Fabrika multifunctional cultural and educational centre opened in 2008 after the conversion of a textile factory built in the 1920s by entrepreneur Wilhelm Ettl. Its centrepiece is a theatre and congress hall with audiovisual technology - the auditorium can be reconfigured from a theatre layout to a concert or congress setting using elevator technology. The building also houses the city library, a restaurant, galleries, and a number of other tenants including the CMS TV studio.
