Bohemia Balet - Masters of Music
A full-length performance by Bohemia Balet featuring four choreographies.
Formless Fragility (9 min) - choreography by Tomáš Rychetský, costumes by Roman Šolc, staging by Zuzana Susová, music by Ludwig van Beethoven.
Humoresque (5 min) - choreography by Marika Blahoutová, costumes by Josef Jelínek, music by Antonín Dvořák.
Trio in G Minor (33 min) - choreography by Pavel Šmok (1927-2016), costumes by Josef Jelínek, staging by Libuše Ovsová, music by Bedřich Smetana. Smetana composed this trio as a response to the untimely death of his musically gifted daughter Bedřiška. Alongside tragic themes, the work contains lyrical passages full of hope. Pavel Šmok, one of the leading Czech choreographers of the second half of the 20th century, sought to express through movement both the content and depth of the musical score.
