An Evening of Songs by K.T.O. and Waldemar Matuška
Featuring: K.T.O. and their guests. The musical group K.T.O. (Kamarádi táborových ohňů - Friends of Campfires) has been performing since 1963 and is counted among the finest in Czech country, tramping songs, and popular music. For 35 years, they accompanied Waldemar Matuška and Olga Matušková. K.T.O. recorded hundreds of studio songs that became an integral part of radio broadcasts and campfire singalongs. They also produced dozens of full-length television programmes and toured virtually the entire world, including four successful tours of the United States (Nashville, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and beyond). The concert programme is structured as An Evening of K.T.O. Songs: pieces such as Zrádný banjo, Nelly Bly, Plácek v oudolí, U tří louží and others, alongside Waldemar Matuška classics - Tisíc mil, Eldorádo, Jó třešně zrály, Slavíci z Madridu, To všechno odnes čas and many more. All enriched by reminiscences from Franta Hacker and Petr Třebický, two true legends of the Czech music scene.
