About the venue

A weaving and tapestry museum that opened in 2012 inside a restored 14th-century castle brewery. It continues the century-old tradition of the Jindřichův Hradec textile workshops founded by Marie Hoppe Teinitzerová in 1910. Permanent displays cover the history of weaving and its key figures; in the live exhibition visitors can watch conservators restoring historic tapestries and try their hand at a loom.
