Family Opera: Mendel Megaking – Final Performance

A chamber opera inspired by the life of Gregor Johann Mendel, founder of genetics, created as an original work for the Znojmo Music Festival. The story unfolds in a contemporary primary school, where Mendel is "reborn" as the school caretaker Jandl, and students join him on adventures connected to his research in the school garden. The opera is designed for both children and adults.

The entire production – from set design and costumes through direction to the casting of lead roles and the orchestra – is realized by a team of students from the Faculty of Music at JAMU in Brno.

This performance is the final show.
