Family Opera: Mendel Megaking – Pre-premiere IV

A chamber opera inspired by the life of Gregor Johann Mendel, the founder of genetics. The story takes place at a contemporary primary school, where Mendel symbolically 'reborn' as the school caretaker Jandl, and students experience adventures connected with his research in the school garden. The opera is intended for both children and adults. The entire production – production, set design, costumes, direction, casting of leading roles, and orchestra – is provided by a team of students from the Faculty of Music at Masaryk University in Brno.
