Family Opera: Mendel Megaking – Preview III

A chamber opera inspired by the life of Gregor Johann Mendel, founder of genetics. The story unfolds in a contemporary primary school, where Mendel symbolically "rises from the dead" as the school caretaker Jandl, and students experience adventures connected with his research in the school garden. The opera is designed for both children and adults. The entire production—producing, set design, costumes, direction, and casting including the orchestra—is carried out by students of the Music Faculty of JAMU in Brno. This is Preview III as part of the Znojmo Music Festival.
