Apricot Harvest 2026: Tour of Židlochovice Castle
Zámek Židlochovice, Židlochovice
free entry
Židlochovice Castle opens to the public only once a year – as part of the Apricot Harvest festival, this year on Saturday, July 11, 2026. On this day, visitors can explore the rooms of this normally inaccessible castle, where Czechoslovakia's first president T. G. Masaryk stayed during his summer travels through southern Moravia.
This year brings changes: entry to the Apricot Harvest is free – no tickets are sold. The community centre will feature traditional costumes from Židlochovice and surrounding villages, cimbalom music will be performed, and a guided tour will take place. Children are also catered for – their programme moves from the Robert Villa garden to the orchard by the barn.
The musical programme is provided by drummers from Ritmo Factory and the band Umberto Band. Moderator Ondra Blaho, known from Hitrádia City Brno and the ČT morning show "Good Morning", will guide the day.
