About the venue

Židlochovice Château is a national cultural monument and one of the best-preserved hunting châteaux in Europe. It stands on the site of a 14th-century water stronghold; its current Empire-style appearance dates from a remodelling in 1844-1845, with the earlier Baroque form shaped by Count Sinzendorf between 1720 and 1729. After 1919 the château passed into state ownership and served as the summer residence of President T. G. Masaryk during the First Republic. Today it is managed by the state forestry company Lesy ČR and offers hotel accommodation, a conference centre, and a 22-hectare English-style park that is freely accessible year-round.
