The Magic of Old Záběhlice
Zastávka autobusu Topolová, Prague
A guided walk through the Záběhlice settlement, starting at the hamlet of Práče (first mentioned in 1352). Participants will see the granary, castle, mill, and brewery. The route then follows the Botič stream to Záběhlický Castle, where the guide will explain the origin of its name, how far the water from Botič flows underground, and why the Hostivař Reservoir was built.
After passing through the cottage district V Chaloupkách, where the poorest residents built their homes, the group moves to Hamerský Pond and the former Hamry. The route continues to the site of Václav IV's fortress and ends at the Church of the Birth of the Virgin Mary (Viniční farmstead).
