Serhij Zhadan, "Land. Charter. Poems"

Ukrainian poet, writer, musician and military officer of the 2nd Corps of the National University of Kharkiv Serhij Zhadan embarks on a charity tour across European cities titled "Land. Charter. Poems". All proceeds from the tour will go to charity.

The evening programme includes conversations about life, Kharkiv and the military, as well as poetry readings - particularly from the new collection of poems, prose and graphics "Hymns of a Baroque Warrior", which the author will present at the events.

"We want to tell you about the experience and philosophy of the Charter, about the people who make history and build a new country," says Zhadan. "We won't be giving lectures or engaging in agitation - it's important for us to talk about what we live by, what keeps us afloat, about the sense of strength and self-confidence. At these meetings we want to see people who share our values and principles, who don't give up on what matters most, who aren't afraid of the future and haven't lost the ability to believe and love."
