Description was written before the event

Automat Matuška is hosting the fourth edition of the Sourmat sour beer festival. This year, 16 craft microbreweries are participating with more than 30 original specialties, and for the first time the festival takes place simultaneously at two locations.

The festival runs for three days - from Wednesday 26 to Friday 28 August - at both Automat Matuška venues, on Hradčanská and on Jiřího z Poděbrad. Half of the taps at each venue will feature 35 different sour beer flavours. In total, over 3,000 litres of sour beer have been brewed. Thursday also features a special festival menu.

Participating microbreweries include Board, Obora, Zichovec, Sibeeria and Falkon, alongside the organizer Matuška. Flavours on tap include mint, blackcurrant dumpling, and pineapple, mango and banana. Some specialties were created in collaboration with creative brewer Michal Veselý and brewed at the nano-brewery on Hradčanská.

Entry is free; you only pay for what you drink. Visitors can participate in the festival competition by registering in the loyalty programme and collecting stamps for each specialty tasted.
