About the venue: DK Poklad

The DK Poklad house of culture in Ostrava-Poruba opened in December 1961 as part of the New Ostrava development and has been a listed cultural monument since 2009. The building, designed by architects Jiří Petrusiak, Čeněk Vorel and František Michališ in a classicising style with Brussels-style elements, features a sculptural group called Nový věk by Jan Kavan on its main façade. After a major renovation completed in August 2021, it offers a theatre hall for 400, a mini-cinema, a ballroom, and the open-air Amfi amphitheatre behind the building with 1,700 seats. Theatre, cinema, concerts and the venue's own festivals - including Amfifest and the food festival Velká žranice - all take place here.

About: Dan Bárta & Illustratosphere

Dan Bárta & Illustratosphere is a Czech jazz-rock band and eleven-time winner of the Anděl music award. Formed in the 1990s, they built their sound around the fusion of jazz, soul and rock, with Dan Bárta's distinctive voice at the centre. Their self-titled debut album from 2000 is considered a landmark of Czech alternative music.

About: Lash & Grey

The Bratislava duo of Kristína Mihaľová and Jakub Šedivý weaves jazz intimacy with soul warmth - a sound that has taken them to Carnegie Hall, French television ARTE, and festivals in Mexico, Paris, and the Baltic coast. At home they hold the Anděl Award and two Radio_Head Awards; Kristína also stands as the only European to reach the final five of the Sarah Vaughan Jazz Vocal Competition.
