Entertainment Venues in Plzeň in the First Half of the 20th Century

How did Plzeň residents enjoy themselves at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries? A lecture by Petr Domanický (ZČG) and Tomáš Bernhardt (ZČM) offers a look at how people in Plzeň spent their free time from the late 19th century through the end of the First Republic.

The presentation will explore the diverse world of entertainment and social life of the era - from sports activities and Sokol events through art exhibitions to the first cinemas. It will also focus on the venues where these activities took place and their significance in terms of architecture and the city's urban development.
