Dvořák Festival: Biblical Songs

A concert featuring Antonín Dvořák's cycle of Biblical Songs, op. 99, as part of the jubilee 70th edition of the Dvořák Festival (May 1 – September 8, 2026). The performance will be given by Dana Šťastná (mezzo-soprano) and Michal Hanuš (organ). The concert is part of the festival's "Wooden Churches – National Treasures" series, held in historic sacred spaces.

The venue is a timber-framed church of St. Christopher, built in 1683–1684, located in the picturesque village of Kryštofovo Údolí in the Liberec region, designated as a protected village heritage zone.

The programme features all ten songs of the cycle:

2. Skrýše má a pavéza má Ty jsi
3. Slyš, ó Bože! Slyš modlitbu mou
4. Hospodin jest můj pastýř
5. Bože! Bože! Píseň novou
6. Slyš, ó Bože, volání mé
7. Při řekách babylónských
8. Popatřiž na mne a smiluj se nade mnou
9. Pozdvihuji očí svých k horám
10. Zpívejte Hospodinu píseň novou
