Church of St. Christopher

Kryštofovo Údolí

About the venue

The early Baroque log church of St. Christopher was built in 1683-1686 by master carpenter Michl Schöbel from Žibřidice. It is one of the few surviving log structures clad in slate, a covering added in 1893. Together with the Baroque rectory, the mortuary chapel and a wooden bell tower from 1754, it forms a compact ensemble around the old cemetery. The complex has been a listed cultural monument since 1966; guided tours are held during the annual Údolská pouť pilgrimage on the last weekend of July.
