SILENTIUM! ensemble is a Czech vocal-instrumental early music ensemble that made its debut in 2025. It was founded by Tereza Válková, who spent sixteen years as choirmaster of Czech Ensemble Baroque, contributing to recordings for Supraphon, Pentatone and Aparté Music France and performing at festivals including Festival de Beaune and Rheingau Music Festival. The ensemble performs on period instruments, combining core Baroque and Renaissance repertoire with contemporary works and world premieres of rediscovered pieces from the Kroměříž archive. It collaborates with conductors Tomáš Netopil and Andreas Scholl and soloists such as Adam Plachetka and Hana Blažíková.
In the 2026 season, the ensemble presents world premieres of works from the Kroměřížský Archive (Vejvanovský, Rittler, Sances) under the baton of Tomáš Netopil at the Smetanova Litomyšl and MHF Leoše Janáčka festivals and is preparing a CD recording for a prestigious world label.
The ensemble participates in the Coronation Concert for the 400th anniversary of the Habsburgs under the direction of countertenor Andreas Scholl in Znojmo, Brno, and at Prague Castle.
The KlasikaPlus.cz critic praised the Brno concert Aqua et vino et spirit as a musically honest evening with contagiously good energy.
In September 2025, the ensemble opened the 14th season of the Bach to Mozart! cycle in the Brno Church of St. John with a performance of Salieri's Piccolo Requiem.
The ensemble's debut concert outside its own cycle took place on May 24, 2025 at the Prague Rudolfinum at the Prague Spring festival - Mozart's Requiem with Concentus Musicus Wien under the baton of Tomáš Netopil.
