Ludus Musicus performs at Hrad Lipnice nad Sázavou on Saturday, 8 August 2026 with the programme "Krásná je Neapol" - songs from the golden treasury of European music. The concert begins at 15:00 and features soprano Tereza Mátlová as guest. This is one of two Czech dates for the ensemble. Hrad Lipnice, founded around 1310, became a romantic ruin after a fire in the 19th century and is now managed by the National Heritage Institute. About the venue: Lipnice nad Sázavou Castle

Lipnice Castle was founded around 1310 by the lords of Lichtenburg and rebuilt in the early 16th century by the Trčka of Lípa family as a late-Gothic residence. A devastating fire in 1869 turned it into a ruin; it is now managed by the National Heritage Institute. Visitors can explore the Gothic chapel of St. Lawrence, extensive cellars with the remains of a medieval banqueting hall, and a castle museum with archaeological finds. The castle is also known for its connection to writer Jaroslav Hašek, who worked here as a guide during his years in Lipnice.
