Tereza Mátlová (born 24 August 1975) is a Czech soprano equally at home in opera, operetta and musical theatre. She studied at the Prague Academy of Performing Arts (HAMU) and took masterclasses with Helmuth Rilling at the Bach-Akademie in Stuttgart; in 1999 she won the Talent of the Year award at the Wexford Festival, and has twice been nominated for the Thalia Prize - most recently in 2022 for the title role in Dvořák's Rusalka. She appears as a guest at the National Theatre in Prague and on stages abroad, collaborates with leading Czech orchestras, and recorded Martinů's opera Mirandolina for Supraphon.
Mátlová performed at an event of the Angel Among Healthcare Workers project and confirmed that she accepted the role of a mermaid in the upcoming musical Monte Cristo - a role previously sung by Eva Urbanová.
In the Opera for People project, the premiere of a chamber production of Janáček's The Cunning Little Vixen took place at the Prague Hlahol, where Mátlová played the title role of the Cunning Little Vixen.
Mátlová, as soprano of the Opera Divas trio, performed at a summer concert at Štěnovice Castle near Plzeň.
With the Janáček Philharmonic, she completed a two-week tour of Japan, where she sang Mařenka in Smetana's The Bartered Bride.
She was nominated for the Thalia Prize for the title role in Dvořák's Rusalka.
