Maxim Monter's Apartment Buildings in Brno City Centre – a Walking Tour

The architect Maxim (Maximilian) Johann Monter (1865–1942) spent just six years in Brno (1904–1910), during which he taught as a professor at the state German industrial school. Despite this brief stay, he left a clear mark on the inner city — a series of buildings that trace the rapid shift in architectural styles from late historicism and Art Nouveau to a distinctive style with a modernist character.

The walk takes participants to these buildings and is led by art historian Pavla Cenková. The meeting point is at 17:00 in the courtyard of Dům pánů z Kunštátu, Dominikánská 9.
