May Celebrations in Brno 2026

The May Celebrations in Brno take place from May 12–17, 2026 on Svobody Square and are part of the Celebrations Brno series organized by the Brno-střed city district. This year's edition brings a significantly enriched programme compared to previous years: each day features live musical performances, and on weekdays there are open-air cinema screenings with musical films and romantic movies (Rebels, Singin' in the Rain, Grease, Dirty Dancing). New attractions include a fashion show dedicated to Strážnice blue-print textiles (Saturday, May 16 at 2 p.m.), a May creative workshop for children and adults, and a heart-shaped light installation. The programme also includes a dance competition for traditional dancers and stalls with craft products and non-profit organizations. Sunday, May 17 is dedicated to the Wheelchair Users League – a one-day benefit concert festival "Kriplkára candec" will offer musical performances from 2 p.m., including the band The Tap Tap.
