Queens

Queens is a comedy full of genuine humour, occasionally tinged with chills. The plot unfolds in a spa room where a burst water pipe brings together three women who would never normally meet.

Johana (40) is recovering from leg surgery with serious complications following a car accident - the spa is her last chance to save her leg. Zita (60) came for spiritual cleansing and to address her nerve problems. The youngest, Eliška (25), recently lost her sight and is learning to live with this disability. Each of them stands at a turning point in her life and must learn to live differently than before.

Three women separated by generation and social background, one room, and a relatively long time spent together - this is the foundation of a comedy in which humour serves as a means to survive even the most difficult moments.
