Tancesraz brings two workshops with international guests from Amsterdam to Janáček Theatre as part of the RBDYS programme. ShinShan and Luciano, prominent figures of the contemporary dance scene, will share their experience and approach to dance.

ShinShan Salazar is a multidisciplinary artist and dancer based in Amsterdam. In his work he combines influences of Cuban rhythms with the global club scene and moves across styles and creative disciplines.

About the venue: Janáček Theatre

Janáček Theatre is the largest of the three buildings of the National Theatre Brno. Built in 1961–1965 to designs by architects Otakar Oplatek and Jan Víšek, it was ceremonially opened on 2 October 1965. The monumental building in the Brussels style adjoins the Koliště park and is used primarily for opera and ballet performances. The auditorium seats 1,155 and is arranged as a stepped amphitheatre. The building underwent a full reconstruction in 2016–2017.
