The Bělské Balloon Gathering is a meeting of hot air balloon pilots and owners combined with flying in the Mácha region, around Bezděz and in Bělá pod Bezdězem in the Mladoboleslavsko area. This year's twenty-third edition takes place from June 18-21, 2026.

Hřiště U háječku is an outdoor grass ground in Bělá pod Bezdězem that serves as the main venue for the annual Bělské balónové hemžení hot-air balloon festival. Balloon Club Bílá Hlína launches its balloons from here, and the site also hosts the festival's evening light shows, parachute jumps, aerobatic displays and other supporting acts. In 2025 the town council approved the construction of a training football pitch in the same area.
