Without Restraint — Velký sál Záložny, Litovel

A witty and serious comedy about the role of media in the lives of artists and celebrities. Set against the backdrop of Tony Blair's England and Princess Diana, Lodge explores themes that remain relevant today: celebrity culture, media power and responsibility, and pervasive sexism. On a personal level, the play examines friendship, loyalty, life priorities, and how to exist in a world of gossip, intrigue, and envy. The action takes place in the home of once-famous writer Adrian Ludlow and his wife Eleanor near London. It is a Sunday morning in the summer of 1997, and Eleanor has just finished reading an unflattering article about their mutual friend, successful Hollywood screenwriter Sam Sharp. To the couple's surprise, Sam suddenly appears at the door, furious with the article's author, journalist Fanny Tarrant. With Adrian's help, he wants to figure out how to get revenge on Fanny Tarrant.
