Black Tower's concert Echoes of Film Melodies takes place on Tuesday, 10 November 2026 at the Lidový dům Blovice. The orchestra performs celebrated film scores by Hans Zimmer, Ennio Morricone, and John Williams, alongside works by Czech composers. The performance is accompanied by actors from the South Bohemian Theatre. The Lidový dům, built in 1927, serves as Blovice's cultural centre and houses the municipal library following its 2009-2010 renovation. This concert is one of eight Czech dates for Black Tower across the autumn and winter season.

About the venue: Lidový dům Blovice

The Lidový dům (People's House) in Blovice was built in 1927 and has served as the town's main cultural venue ever since. It became municipal property in 1980 and now houses the city cultural centre; a major renovation in 2009-2010 also brought the town library under the same roof. The large hall seats 350 and hosts concerts, theatre performances, dances and children's events, while an open-air cinema operates behind the building. The venue sits close to the town hall, by the Úslava river.

This South Bohemian dance orchestra has been performing at balls, corporate events and concert stages across the Czech Republic since 2010. Its flagship project Ozvěny filmových melodií pairs a string orchestra with dance numbers and audiovisual projection for a ninety-minute journey through international and Czech film music.

About: Martin Dobíšek

Martin Dobíšek is a Czech actor and musician born in 1984 in Čeladná in the Beskydy mountains. He studied singing and piano at the conservatory in Kroměříž, then musical theatre at JAMU in Brno. Since 2016 he has been a member of the Malé divadlo company within Jihočeské divadlo in České Budějovice, also appearing regularly with its opera ensemble in productions such as Evita and Il Trovatore. He is a co-recipient of the Jihočeská Thálie 2016 award for acting and musicality in Ježíšek Superstar.
