Baldassare Galuppi: Il Buranello

The ensemble Silentium! brings a monographic portrait of Venetian composer Baldassare Galuppi to Brno's Besední dům on 17 February 2027. This is one of nine Czech dates on their tour, which includes additional performances in Brno and at the Evangelical Church in Valašské Meziříčí. The neo-Renaissance building on Komenského náměstí, erected in the 1870s after designs by architect Theophil von Hansen, has served as a cultural centre for over 150 years. The programme combines vocal and instrumental works by Galuppi, whose inventive style forms a musical bridge between Baroque and the Enlightenment music of Mozart.
