Martin Chodúr - The Voice of Christmas

The Christmas concert "The Voice of Christmas" brings listeners stylistically diverse songs united by the Christmas theme and Martin Chodúr's distinctive voice. The festive repertoire features both Czech and internationally known songs. Some of them Martin recorded on his 2018 album "Hallelujah" - Christmas songs and carols with the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava. His original Christmas song "The Power to Love" received the highest award, Platinum Twelve, in the Czech Radio hit parade in 2019. Other songs come from the repertoires of the most famous performers of the 20th century, and African-American gospel is also featured. Listeners can expect famous rock Christmas songs, jazz songs, and pop Christmas hits. All songs are characterized by their melodic quality and emphasis on singing, and most of them evoke Christmas to people around the world. The 90-minute concert is accompanied by piano and transverse flute.
