Martin Chodúr brings his Christmas project Hlas Vánoc to Šternberk on Saturday, 19 December 2026 at the Kulturní dům - Městský klub. The recital blends Czech and Slovak melodies with Christmas classics, pop, jazz and gospel in original arrangements. Chodúr performs with piano, string quartet and flute accompaniment. This concert is one of four Czech dates on his advent and Christmas tour, which also includes performances in Brno, Rožmitál pod Třemšínem and Boskovice. The Městský klub is Šternberk's main cultural venue, hosting theatre productions, film screenings and educational events.

About the venue: Kulturní dům - Městský klub

The Městský klub - Kulturní dům is Šternberk's main cultural venue, run by the city-funded organisation Městská kulturní zařízení. It hosts theatre performances, film screenings, art exhibitions and educational courses. The same organisation also runs the town library and the Expozice času museum. It was established by a city council resolution in June 2001.

About: Vlastimil Šmída

Vlastimil Šmída is an Ostrava-based pianist, keyboardist and composer, one of the key figures in the jazz scene of the Moravian-Silesian region. He teaches at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava and at the University of Ostrava. His collaborations span jazz and pop, including work with Emil Viklický, the Gustav Brom Big Band and singer Martin Chodúr.
