Battle of the Pianos arrives in Svitavy on Wednesday, 30 September 2026 at Fabrika. Ondřej Brzobohatý faces off here with colleague Ondřej Brousek in a humorous concert on two pianos, full of virtuosic playing and musical wit. This is one of nine Czech dates on the tour, spanning cities from Hořovice to Náchod. The two composers and lifelong friends combine their mastery in a program that blends classical technique with an unexpected humorous take on familiar works.

About the venue: Fabrika

The Fabrika multifunctional cultural and educational centre opened in 2008 after the conversion of a textile factory built in the 1920s by entrepreneur Wilhelm Ettl. Its centrepiece is a theatre and congress hall with audiovisual technology - the auditorium can be reconfigured from a theatre layout to a concert or congress setting using elevator technology. The building also houses the city library, a restaurant, galleries, and a number of other tenants including the CMS TV studio.

About: Ondřej Brzobohatý

Born on 2 February 1983 in Prague, Ondřej Gregor Brzobohatý is a multifaceted Czech artist trained at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in composition, piano and conducting. The son of actor Radoslav Brzobohatý and Slovak actress Hana Gregorová, he gained initial recognition as host of the first Czech Pop Idol season in 2004. His primary focus remains composition work - creating musicals, film scores and solo recordings - alongside regular performances with symphony orchestras and partnerships with major Czech musicians.

About: Ondřej Brousek

Born on 28 March 1981 in Prague, Ondřej Brousek is a Czech actor, musician, composer and director belonging to the renowned Brousek acting family. He completed his music-drama studies at the Prague Conservatory and has performed as keyboardist with Monkey Business since 1999, while serving as an ensemble member of Divadlo na Vinohradech from 2013 onwards. His compositional work encompasses stage music, film scores and symphonic compositions, including three symphonies premiered in Prague, Zlín and the Municipal House; he also performs with Ondřej Gregor Brzobohatý in the two-piano programme "Souboj klavírů", which merges classical music with comedy and improvisation.
