Uncle Vanya
"Now is the time to finally understand it all. Time to finally be together!"
Alain Badiou says that in our world only bodies and languages remain, but we have lost the truths.
A company gathers in a house in the Russian countryside. Professor Serebryakov has completed his work, retires and returns from the city back to the countryside. He has devoted his entire life to art and realism. Vanya has worked his whole life for Serebryakov and sacrificed himself. Everyone would like to understand the house as home, yet each desperately searches for their own truth in a world of bodies and languages — and even that loses credibility. Any certainty dissolves, cynicism envelops everything.
A. P. Chekhov's masterpiece of realistic drama in HaDivadlo's production as a hymn to ecology.
The production was nominated in the Drama Theatre category for direction at the Theatre Newspaper Award 2016. Robert Mikluš nominated for the Thalia Award 2016 for the role of Astrov.
