Lost World of Petrská Quarter
A guided walk through Petrská Quarter will take participants to places connected with mills, the spiritual life of Catholics and Protestants, and forgotten architecture. The route will showcase the location where one of Prague's most impressive post offices once stood, pass elegant interwar buildings, and lead to a unique water tower. Imaginary guides will include an archaeologist, writer Julius Zeyer, and Karel Hynek Mácha.
The route includes: the Romanesque-Gothic Basilica of St. Peter, the only surviving Protestant prayer house from the time of Joseph II in Prague, the Capuchin monastery as the historic birthplace of the Czech national anthem, and a forgotten monastery with roots reaching back to Ireland.
The walk lasts 1.5 hours and ends at Vávra House (Postal Museum). The terrain is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs.
