A summer concert by the Chamber Orchestra of the G. Mahler Philharmonic Jihlava, featuring a programme from classical masterpieces to film melodies.

Performing: Chamber Orchestra of the G. Mahler Philharmonic Jihlava, conductor Jiří Jakeš, soloists from the philharmonic, and host Vladimír Holeš.

The concert is held under the patronage of the Mayor of Jihlava, Mgr. Petr Ryška, and with the support of the City of Jihlava and the Vysočina Region.

About the venue: Gothic Hall

The Large Gothic Hall is located on the first floor of the Jihlava Town Hall on Masarykovo náměstí. The space is vaulted with a four-bay ribbed vault converging on a central polygonal pillar; the vault bays were decorated with inscriptions in 1561. In the 18th century the hall was partitioned and the vault concealed; during the 2004–2006 reconstruction it was restored to its original Gothic appearance, including the polychromy. Today it serves as a representative venue for cultural events, ceremonial occasions and guided tours of the town hall.
