Jiří Jakeš (born 1967, Jihlava) is a Czech conductor, choirmaster, music educator, and composer. He studied choral conducting at Masaryk University in Brno and has served as chief conductor of the Gustav Mahler Philharmonic in Jihlava since 2003. Alongside conducting, he composes and arranges music for symphony orchestra. In 2017 he received the Jihlava City Award for his long-term artistic contribution.
