Markéta Foukalová & Martin Brunner: Zábrana

This spring sees the release of an album by Martin Brunner and Markéta Foukalová titled Zábrana, featuring musical settings of poems by Jan Zábrana (1931–1984), a poet, prose writer, and translator. The album contains eleven poems from different periods of his life and represents the first comprehensive musical treatment of Zábrana's work on this scale. The project has already been performed on international stages, including in Vancouver and New York; its Czech premiere will take place in May of this year.
