Over 2,000 visitors toured Hotel Medlov in 2024 and 2025. In 2026, the owner Jan Piskoř hosts the tours again — always in two 45-minute blocks with access to areas normally closed to the public.
The first part, Functionalist Medlov, focuses on the 1934 functionalist building designed by architects Pavel Smetana and Alois Wachsman — the only surviving work of their joint practice. The stories of this period are linked to the original owners Leoš and Aglaia Stehlík and personalities from their circle. Writer Jan Drda called this place in his texts "Medlov — a newly found paradise".
The second part, Brussels Medlov, showcases the 1974 building designed by architect Jiří Herzán in the style of progressive Brutalisme, inspired by the successes of Expo 58. The interior and exterior are largely preserved in their original form, including artworks and furnishings undergoing gradual renovation. The building continues to serve its original purpose.
