Jan Drda (1915–1970) was a Czech writer, playwright and journalist. He is best known for his prose works with rural and wartime themes, including the short-story collection Němá barikáda (The Silent Barricade), and for the popular comedy play Hrátky s čertem. He was also associated with the Hotel Medlov resort, which he described in his writings as "Medlov – a newly found paradise".
