ROMEO and JULIET – Open-Air Theatre Performance at Lnáře Castle

The Kašpar theatre company (Divadlo v Celetné) presents an open-air production of Romeo and Juliet (W. Shakespeare) in the grounds of Lnáře Castle on two dates: Thursday 16 July and Friday 17 July 2026, both starting at 21:00. Directed by Jakub Špalek. Cast: Daniel Pivoda Ondráček, Tereza Slámová, Jan Zadražil, Eva Elsnerová, Miloslav Tichý, Štěpán Coufal, Kristián Stolařík and František Kreuzmann. This is an adaptation for eight characters featuring period dances, songs, and live music. Duration: 1 hour 40 minutes without interval. The performance runs in any weather.

Audience members may arrive one hour before the start and stay for a night picnic in the garden after the performance. Refreshments will be available in the grounds; toilets are in the castle. The performance is part of the nationwide event Kašpar's Great Journey 2026. Lnáře Castle is located approximately 45 km from Plzeň, 8 km from Blatná, near Strakonice and Písek.
