Retro Lamps: Guided Tour with the Curator

A guided tour with Eva Slunečková exploring lamps from the 1950s to 1980s - from table and floor lamps to iconic models that became part of everyday life. The tour will highlight the work of specific designers and the manufacturing companies that produced these lamps in series.

"We all know these little lamps and quite possibly have them at home - often in living rooms, attics, or garages - but we know almost nothing about who designed them. This exhibition is the first to focus on mass-produced lighting from the 1950s to 1980s, about which we know surprisingly little today. Finally, attention will be directed toward those who stood quietly in the shadows all along: the designers," says curator Eva Slunečková, who will guide visitors through the exhibition.
