František Halas: Literary and Musical Evening

On the occasion of the 125th anniversary of František Halas's birth, on October 14 we commemorate the poet's early work and his translations, which illuminate his artistic direction - the wild poetic avant-garde published in left-wing magazines and translations of South Slavic ballads, on which he collaborated with Otton Berkopec during World War II.

The poems will be recited by actress Kateřina Coufalová, accompanied musically by Ljubov Plavská on percussion and Marie Klepetková on flute and bagpipes, with Balkan songs sung by Nikola Janković. Pavel Straka will host the evening.
