Opening Concert: Paolo Fresu & Omar Sosa feat. Nguyên Lê

The opening concert of the Brno Music Marathon at Sono Centre will present the Food project by pianist Omar Sosa and trumpeter Paolo Fresu. Their collaboration merges acoustic instruments with electronics and explores themes of sharing, dialogue, and sustainable living.
The Food project is thematically inspired by restaurants and winemaking — the composers drew inspiration from the sounds of leaves, clinking glasses, sizzling oil, chopping vegetables, and the voices of chefs and winemakers in various languages. For the Brno performance, the duo will be joined by special guest Nguyên Lê, this year's festival resident artist.
