Reynek_Renaud – Dreams from Petrkov
Arnoldova vila, Brno
A poetic theatrical production about the life and work of poet Bohuslav Reynek and poetess Suzanne Renaud.
The production continues the dramaturgical line begun by Blatný, Skácel, Orten, and Holan. The text draws from sources about the lives of Suzanne Renaud and Bohuslav Reynek and their poetic work – the main source of inspiration is their shared life at the Petrkov estate in the Vysočina region. The production is presented on the occasion of the centenary of these two personalities' meeting in 1923.
Martin Dvořák's script blends prose, dramatic, and poetic dimensions and incorporates dance, music, and visual elements. The visual design of the production was created by academic painter Adam Panáček, who responds to the visual aspects of Reynek's work.
The production is created for the "body" of Werich's villa and the Loew Beer villa.
