Description was written before the event

A theatrical adaptation of Klaus Mann's novel. The production explores themes of ambition, moral compromise, and political intrigue in Nazi Germany. Written in 1936, this work remains a compelling reflection on the power of art and personal responsibility within a totalitarian society.

About the venue: Chamber Stage Aréna

Komorní scéna Aréna is a drama theatre in Ostrava, established in 1994 as a city-funded organisation. It focuses on actor-centred productions with a contemporary repertoire, performed in a chamber hall seating around a hundred.
