Madhouse Express + Kakktus

A joint evening featuring Prague's Madhouse Express and Šternberk's Kakktus at Dock Ostrava.

Madhouse Express have been playing psychedelic rock for over a decade, performing hundreds of concerts at home and abroad - at festivals like Colours of Ostrava and Rock for People. Their songs appeared in the soundtrack to the film "Occupation", which won a Czech Lion for film music. Their latest album "Something With Space" brings them closest yet to the global neo-psychedelic scene. They have also played sold-out shows at Prague's planetarium and celebrated a decade in the Archa+ space.

Kakktus emerged from Šternberk, where they played the local punk scene from 2006 onwards. They have been actively recording since 2018, releasing three albums: "KAKKTUS" (2018), "Na hrbatým koni" (2022), and "Osmihodinový muž" (2025). Today they move between post-punk and dark rock and roll with blues elements, their Czech lyrics drawing from the local underground and existential poetry.
