Madhouse Express are a psychedelic rock band from Prague, founded in 2014 by frontman Maxmilián Hruška. Rooted in the sounds of the 1960s and 70s, they carve out their own space with sharp guitar riffs, sweeping keys, hazy vocals and occasional theremin. Two albums - Surreal Meadow (2020) and Something With Space (2023) - plus a contribution to the Okupace film soundtrack mark their recorded output. After winning the Czech Radio Wave export showcase Czeching in 2025, they performed at Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen in January 2026.
Madhouse Express performed at the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival in Groningen as winners of the Czeching Radio Wave export project.
The band released the single "Little Illusions" with a unique 360° music video filmed in a Baroque chapel in Ostrov nad Ohří under the Brno-based label Kabinet Records.
Madhouse Express, as finalists of the Czeching export project, presented themselves live at the showcase in Prague's ARCHA+.
The band celebrated 10 years of existence with a jubilee concert in Prague's Archa+ venue - their biggest show to date - and released the single Ark of Fictions.
The second album Something With Space was released, recorded at Tropical Cell studio and released on vinyl.
